With your 'Sixt Express Card' you simply find a 'Sixt Quick Check-In Terminal', available at specific locations, insert your 'Sixt Express Card' or credit card, choose your vehicle from three available options plus any additional extras, confirm your booking information, receive your printed reservation and rental agreement, open the safe, take your keys and start driving to your destination. Nothing could be easier!
Clients with babies or children can book a baby seat for babies up to 9 months or up to 18kg in weight or child seat for children from 9 months to five years or two to ten years in age for R300. A necessity for visitors partaking in a travelling holiday is a navigational system that can be hired for R80 via credit card only. As these items are subject to availability it's a good idea to book ahead of time. Should you require an additional driver, the surcharge is R260. Clients requiring the 'Delivery and Collection' service will be charged R275 up to a 25km distance, if further, the charge is R7 for each kilometre over 25km.Outside of 'opening hours' this service will incur a fee of R500 up to 25km with each additional kilometre costing R7.
Drivers wanting to book a Six tcar rental vehicle in South Africa must be 23 years or older and be in possession of a valid two-year old drivers licence. On collection of your vehicle, you must present a valid ID or passport. If you don't collect your vehicle within the stipulated time period or don’t collect it at all, you will not be refunded. Bookings can be amended up to 48-hours prior to departure with an amendment charge of R190 and if you need to cancel your reservation, a cancellation fee is incurred.
Sixt car hire embossed Visa, American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard and MasterCard credit cards provided the renter is the owner of the card. Not acceptable for payment is cash, cheques, prepaid or debit cards. Clients may only utilise their 'Sixt Car Express Service' card together with a credit card.
Included in your vehicle rental is 'Third Party Insurance' but should you be transporting dangerous items, or an unauthorised driver is driving, this protection becomes null and void. Rates are also inclusive of a 'Loss Damage Waiver'. Check online for more information including 'Personal Accident Protection' and 'Glass Damage Waiver' as well as 'Terms and Conditions'.
Sixtcar rental permits their vehicle renters (in specific car groups only) to cross over into Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho and Namibia provided that written permission has been issued to the renter from their Sixt car branch. If planning to cross a border, when booking, renters should check on monetary amounts required that differ for each particular country.
