Hertz Car Hire

Hertz Car Hire South Africa was pioneered by Walter Jacobs, a young 22 year old who started his operation in Chicago in 1918 with a dozen 'T Ford' models that he fixed and painted. Within just five years, his business was generating annual revenues of around $1million. The company attained its success by providing overall superior service and Hertz today, operates in 145 countries across six continents. In 1950 Hertz emerged into the South African car rental market, quickly becoming a household name with 42 branches tactically located across all nine provinces as well as Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
