Pensioners: Senior citizens travel for 5% less than the regular bus ticket prices.
Students: Similarly, university students qualify for a discount of 5% on their bus fares if a valid student card is presented upon booking a bus trip.
National Defence Force: SANDF Members qualify for a 10% discount, provided they produce a valid force card upon booking.
Children: Kids older than two years, but younger than 11 years, qualify for a 15% discount on their Greyhound bus fares. Provided that babies younger than 2 years don't occupy a seat, they get to travel for free.
Greyhound has offices across the country, including Sales Offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Midrand, Durban, Pretoria, East London, Harare (Zimbabwe), Kroonstad, Port Elizabeth, Maputo (Mozambique) and Montrose.
Greyhound typically allows passengers to travel with no more than two suitcases or bag, of which the total weight is not allowed to exceed 30kg. The maximum size dimensions allowed per bag is 800mm x 600mm x 300mm. Luggage that weights more than the prescribed allowance will incur additional charges.
Unaccompanied luggage is not transported, and firearms, explosives or hazardous materials are not allowed aboard Greyhound coaches.
With the exception of guide dogs for the blind, pets are also not permitted to travel aboard Greyhound buses.
