Have you ever considered Cape Town to be South Africa’s very own comedy hotspot? If you haven’t, you really should!
While you can book flights to London to catch shows featuring world-famous comedians
such as Suzi Ruffel, Patton Oswalt, and Reginald Hunter (all of whom have shows
in London this year, by the way), why not consider keeping it local and heading
off to Cape Town’s very own comedy hotspots…go see and support home-grown
Why? Well for starters, flights on local SA Airlines to Cape Town are a whole lot shorter than flights to London. But that’s not the only reason why local talent should be your focus this year.
South Africa has a collection of world class comedians who will have you laughing till the tears stream from your eyes and your belly starts to ache. Without a bit of comedy, how would the country get through all the challenges that it currently faces?
Best of all, when you
choose local comedy shots, you are more able to relate to the humour! We hear
the phrase “local is lekker” so often, and it certainly rings true when it
comes to how we relate to comedy.
