At the canal you can participate in various water activities including kayaking and stand-up paddling. For a bit of extra fun, hop on the water taxi and head over to the Convention Centre.

The Canal District also offers the following: pedestrian paths, gardens, benches, restaurants, shops, an uber trendy new skate park, scooter park and basketball court and so much more.   • Support local young start-up companies at the Silo Market

The Silo Market is a new creative market area for young start-up companies to showcase their creativity and innovative products. The market is held on the last Saturday of each month, from 10am to 3pm. The space will also feature new young performers eager to put on entertaining shows and displays.

The Silo District is a festive area and will be hosting 2 free concerts this festive season.

Get in the Christmas Spirit with the Magic of Christmas Show! Fun for the whole family is not always easy to come by, but this year it is! At the V & A Waterfront, there are daily 20-minute Christmas shows from 8.20pm starting from Friday the 14th of December to Monday the 17th of December.

  • Meet Peppa Pig!

Christmas time is all about spoiling the kids. If you have little ones, take them to the magical music production featuring Peppa Pig and friends. Performances start at 11am daily and feature interactive sing-along songs and a meet and greet with life-size puppets after the show. The production will be on from the 16th of December to the 30th of December daily 

  • Get active on your feet with a 10km fun run.

With all the indulgence of the holidays, you are bound to want to get a little bit more active. Growth Point Properties is hosting a 10km run/walk from the Table Bay Hotel, V & A Waterfront to Green Point and back, on the 19th of December from 6pm to 8pm.
