Kulula.com Bookings

Kulula.com, often simply referred to as Kulula, is a South African low cost carrier headquartered in Kempton Park, Johannesburg. Since 2001, the airline's low cost flights and no-frills approach, combined with a distinctly cheeky brand identity, has made it a well-loved household name in South Africa. Find about more about Kulula.com below, or use the above flight booking engine to compare Kulula flights with other South African Airlines and secure the cheapest flights in SA today.

About Kulula

Kulula means 'it's easy" in isiXhosa and isiZulu, and this principle informs all aspects of their now well established "full-on travel" offering. Whether you're booking flights, and or car hire, or even a full package holiday, their online booking system and call centre service is designed to make your travel experience as simple and enjoyable as possible. Being a low cost carrier, snacks and drinks are sold on-board to keep ticket prices as low as possible. The airline's in-flight magazine, Khuluma, enjoys a readership in excess of 200,000 people per month.

The airline's tickets can also be purchased via online travel agencies such as Travelstart and Flightsite, meaning that you can find SA's very cheapest flight deals at the click of a button. Kulula.com has two primary hubs, being OR Tambo International Airport and Lanseria International Airport in Gauteng, with its focus cities being Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

Kulula.com is owned by Comair Limited, and operates a fleet of 11 Boeing 737 aircraft flying to 6 South African destinations. The average age of the airline's fleet is 10.7 years. Comair also operates flights as a franchisee of British Airways, with code-sharing agreements in place between these respective airline brands.

Comair was also one of the main airlines seeking to prevent new low cost airline FlySafair from launching in 2013, however FlySafair managed to overcome their legal and regulatory obstacles and is launching their first flights on 16 October 2014.
